Intermediate Design 002  is a 40 clock hour course in the Fashion Study Program. Students will create the patterns for blouses, sleeves, and collars. During this course, each student will apply the steps needed to create a blouse, dress sleeve, and collar. Students will create two fully completed blouses.

• Introduction to Class

• Drafting Basic Bodice Front/Back Pattern

• Cut Basic Bodice Sample Project

WEEK TWO

• Work on Basic Bodice Sample Blouse

 

WEEK THREE

• Draft:

  • Basic Sleeve​

  • Fitted Sleeve

  • Bell Sleeve

  • Full Sleeve with Placket and Cuff

                                   

WEEK FOUR

• Practice Full Sleeve with Placket and Cuff

 

WEEK FIVE

• Work on Sewing Sleeves on Sample Blouse

 

WEEK SIX

• Draft:

  • Mandarin Collar​

  • Tuxedo Collar

  • Round Bertha Collar

  • Peter Pan Collar

• Cut Desired Collar for Sample Blouse

• Place Collar onto Sample Blouse

 

WEEK SEVEN

• Finalize Basic Bodice Sample Blouse

• Turn in Basic Bodice Sample Blouse

• Draft:

  • Shell Blouse​

  • Kimono Blouse

  • Batwing Blouse

• Cut Kimono Blouse

• Finalize Kimono Blouse

• Turn in Kimono Blouse
