MEN'S WEAR

Men's Wear is a 40 clock hour course in the Fashion Study Program. Students discover techniques for men’s wear. The differences in fit and tailoring. A Jacket, Coat, and Slacks will be created by the end of the course.

  • Tuxedo Shirt

  • Cut Tuxedo Jacket with Lining and Tuxedo Shirt

WEEK TWO
  • Learn Tuxedo Shirt Placket and Formal Cuff (Cuff Links)

WEEK THREE
  • Pattern Grading

  • Work on Tuxedo Jacket and Tuxedo Shirt

  • Work on Tuxedo Jacket, Tuxedo Shirt, and Pants

 
WEEK FIVE
  • Finalize Tuxedo Jacket, Tuxedo Shirt, and Pants

  • Cut Double Breasted Coat and Coat Cuff with Lining

  • Midterm Grading:

  • Expectations: all classwork must be completed from week 1-5

  • Learn How to Sew:

  • Two Sided Welt Pocket

  • Bound Buttonhole

  • Covered Button

 
WEEK SEVEN
  • ​Work on Double Breasted Overcoat

WEEK EIGHT
  • Finalize Double Breasted Overcoat

  • Turn in all Projects and Patterns
