Basic Design 001 is a 40 clock hour course in the Fashion Study Program. Students will create designs and patterns. During this course the student will design patterns for skirts and will make doll- size example skirts. By the end of the course they will create full- size skirts of choice.

• Turn in Basic Skirt Project

  • 2 Double Pleated Skirt​

  • 4 Double Pleated Skirt

  • 6 Double Pleated Skirt

  • 4 Single Pleated Skirt

• Cut All of the Mini Skirts

                                   

WEEK FOUR

• Learn Sewing Techniques for Pleated Skrits

 

WEEK FIVE

• Draft:

  • Pleated Skirt with Fullness​

  • Trumpet Skirt

  • 4 Gore Skirt

  • 8 Gore Skirt

• Cut All of the Mini Skirts

 

WEEK SIX

• Learn the Sewing Techniques for Gore Skirts

• Draft:

  • Full Circular Skirt​

  • A-lined Skirt

• Cut Full Circular Skirt

 

WEEK SEVEN

• Decide Skirt Project

• Draft Skirt Project

• Cut Skirt Project

• Finalize Full Circular Skirt

• Finalize Mini Skirts

• Turn in Full Circular Skirt
